While Away Home Services is locally owned by Cindy Wilkinson, who personally looks after homes in communities across Oakland County. Every plan is shaped around your home, how long you'll be away, and what matters most to you.
What a Visit Can Include
Each visit follows the plan you build together, so you only pay for the care your home actually needs. A plan may include:
- Interior and exterior checks for visible changes or anything needing attention
- Utility and system checks — lights, thermostats, smoke detectors, and water and plumbing for signs of leaks
- Mail, package, and delivery collection
- Watering indoor and outdoor plants
- Starting vehicles and checking battery and tire pressure
- Seasonal services suited to your home and property
How It Works
It starts with a conversation. Cindy learns about your property, your schedule, and your priorities, then builds a home watch plan with you.
Visits happen as often as you need — some homeowners choose weekly checks, though every-other-week visits are most popular.
After each visit you receive a detailed update with photos. If anything needs attention, you'll be contacted right away so you can decide how to proceed.
